Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy – also known as guided hypnosis – is a form of therapy that uses deep relaxation, extreme concentration and intense focus to achieve a heightened state of consciousness or mindfulness.
In this trance-like state, we can turn our attention inward, to find and utilize the resources deep within ourselves that can help us make changes or regain control in certain areas of life. Hypnotherapy is typically used alongside other treatments, as a tool to help facilitate different types of therapy and medical treatments. It can be effective in aiding treatment for symptoms and conditions, including anxiety disorders, phobias, depression, eating disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and some problem behaviours. It can also be used for pain management, weight loss, giving up smoking, sleep problems and relieving the symptoms of IBS and ADHD.
